If you're studying the genre of mystery writing, by all means, get it. But it certainly holds little appeal to the mystery reader of today. (You might be able to steal a plot, though! He'll never know.)
The stories are acceptable light reads, but seem too short to develop character, and are somewhat pat in their resolutions.
These were some pretty good stories by an author I had never heard of. I feel sure that more of his books will be on my reading list.
